JVP PDX Upcoming Chapter Meeting

Dear JVP'ers and newcomers to JVP,

With local chapters in 65 cities here in the US, Jewish Voice for Peace has  just come off a very successful National Membership Meeting in Chicago that drew more than a 1,000 people (see link to video presentations below). Here in Portland our Jewish Community Statement on Divestment from Caterpillar drew nearly 100 signatories in only two weeks, our chapter played a major role in the Occupation-Free Portland campaign, and the City Council voted to end its investments in corporate securities. We are also active in other local issues such as combatting Islamophobia and the struggle for immigration justice.
Building on this momentum, we invite you to help us go "all in" to bring justice, equality, and human rights for Palestinians.

Our next chapter meeting will be on
Sunday, April 30,
from  3:00 to 4:30 pm
in Muir Hall at Tabor Space
(5441 SE Belmont Street, Portland)

Please join us for planning new campaigns and building a stronger, more effective chapter here in Portland. It's been a while since we last held a chapter meeting.  All are welcome!

Here is our proposed agenda.  Let us know what you would like to see JVP doing and come prepared to share your ideas for moving forward in the struggle for justice in Palestine!  See you there!
In solidarity,

Carol Landsman, Michel Bolsey, Diana Spartis, Allen Menegay, Rod Such, William Singer

Proposed Agenda
